Loved every second of my visit here. Food was fast, and tasty. Don’t miss out on the house potatoes— they were so yummy! We had their coco crispy crunchy French toast & a fried chicken Benny that did not disappoint. I wish I lived closer so I could go back. Worth the few seconds off the freeway for sure!

This place was great! We stopped here for breakfast on our way to Eureka and we were far from disappointed, we were delightfully surprised. It was pretty busy for a Friday morning, but we took that as a good sign. We still got seated right away and the service the whole time was just awesome. So was the menu! There were at least 5 different styles of eggs Benedict, which we both love so that's what we ordered. It was a little bit of a wait for food, but they were very busy and with just one cook in the kitchen. Not an issue if the food is good. The country style Benedict was basically biscuits and gravy with poached eggs. Their homemade biscuits were absolutely delicious and the gravy was on point. My wife had the California style which had tomato and avocado. She ate way more than I thought she would and said it was delicious. I bought a commemorative hat so I can tell people how great this place was.

I had the best breakfast of my life at Trish’s Out of the Way Cafe. Writing this with tears in my eyes from the life changing experience this breakfast gave me. My hotel (Scotia Lodge: also amazing see my review there) recommended breakfast at Trish’s and described it as the ultimate local delight. Oh, boy, were they right. Trish served the restaurant and made me feel right at home. She helped me make a tough decision in choosing what I wanted to eat and got to know me a little as I waited. I ordered the veggie skillet with rye and it was incredible. The choice and variety of vegetables felt thoughtful. Nothing was overpowering and everything was fresh. About to embark on the rest of a roadtrip, I now feel energized and ready to take on the world. After eating and getting to know another table next to me, the experience ended with a bill and hug from Trish personally. THANK YOU TRISH AND STAFF!! You made my experience one I will never forget. I’ll be back!

Quaint and intimate, settled not very far from the 101. This local diner offers a nice selection of typical breakfast diner fare, but with some nice variations that are worth trying. I enjoyed the Out of the Way Benny with hashbrowns and found it to be excellent, with very crispy fried chicken and rich hollandaise sauce. Friendly and attentive staff made for a pleasant morning. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a local cafe to enjoy yourself at before hitting the road again.

Glad I went “Out-of-the Way and visiting Trish’s Cafe; it is a must-visit cafe near Redwood National Park. Trish runs the place herself and I felt like a local with her welcoming demeanor and warm atmosphere. I called about 20 min before closing asking if I could still come by and without hesitation she told me to come in. The food was great and Jeremiah provided friendly, personal service, keeping my coffee topped up and ensuring that I had what I needed. I’ll definitely be visiting Trish in her cafe when I’m in the area again.

A very quaint place. My first time here and I had good coffee and a delicious breakfast burrito. A customer next to me ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy that was huge and a side of bacon that had 5 (yes I counted them) slices. I will be back to explore more of Trish's menu. Friday I came back and ordered what the other customer ordered Wednesday. Another 5/5 breakfast and with the place packed with hungry, friendly patrons. I love that I can walk to this restaurant too!
